I met Stan and Don at Welgelegen Guesthouse and we left on a Cape Peninsula tour. We originally were going to go on a Winelands tour but as we saw the weather patterns changing we decided on the Cape Peninsula tour.

We first stopped at Kirstenbosch gardens where both grandfathers, very happilly and with great joy, did their shopping for grandkids. Then we moved through Bishopscourt, Retreat and eventually stopped at Muizenberg.

From Muizenberg we traveled on through Kalk Bay and passed the paper house inclusive of Emily Dibb's wonderful mountain garden. We then traveled through Fish Hoek and looked at the mountain cross. After Fish Hoek we traveled on to Simonstown and the penguin colony.

After the penguin colony we traveled all along the False Bay coast, past Cape Point (which we never went to as the wind was too strong) and stopped at the Statues near Scarborough where we took the pictures as seen below.

After our visit to "The Statues we traveled past Scarborough, Misty Cliffs, Kommetjie and Ocean View. On arriving at Silvermine we took the panoramic photo as seen below.

From SIlvermine we traveled back to Hout Bay via Constantia. We then returned to the city via the Atlantic seaboard passing Llandudno and Camps Bay where the below photo as seen below was taken.

After seeing where the "heart of Camps Bay" was located we traveled back to Sea Point where we stopped in at my apartment. Don and Stan met Bette and the Stan took some pretty serious photos of a marvelous Cape Sunset as seen from our apartment balcony.

We left our apartment at about 18h30 so as to return to Welgelegen via the city.

This was a lovely day spent with two gentlemen of the highest order. They were such appreciative visitors who enjoyed Cape Town to it fullest with the most common phrase on the tour being "Wow"!

Thanks Don and Stan; It truly was a great day.

What a treat it was to see our special photos and text from the tour last
Saturday. You are terrific. Both Stan and I completely enjoyed the day that you shared your beautiful city with us. Many thanks. Also, please tell
Bette how much we enjoyed meeting her and thanks to you both for your
hospitality. It was a pleasure meeting you and will look forward to
contacting you on our next visit. I had an uneventful trip home and arrived safely but tired.

Thanks again, Don
