I was referred to tour with the inimitable Fred via past visitors of mine viz. Mannie and Toots Hassel. Fred was visiting Cape Town on the Marco Polo cruise ship and he had met Billie on board so he asked her to join us. On meting up on our first day we worked out what we would do for the following three days and started to tour immediately

Outside the penguin colony Fred tested this chair and eventually bought a smaller version
We picnicked at Cape Point and took this picture at our picnic spot.
The following pictures were all taken at Cape Point where as can be seen form the photos the wind certainly was blowing.

We stopped at the statues where we took the above picture
That evening we dropped Billie off at the Marco Polo and Fred and I went off to the Jewel Tavern for dinner.
Day 2
Winelands Tour
We stopped in at Muratie wine farm where we participated in a wine tasting and had fun looking around the farm.
We then travelled on to Kayamandi where the following pictures were taken
Fred and Bombela hugging in Bombela's tin shack home
We travelled to the Cheetah foundation at Spier and took the next two pictures

Fred phoned home form the Spier Hotel Foyer and seemed quite relaxed doing so as this picture suggests. J J J
While Fred phone home Billie relaxed in the hotel foyer under the shadow of a painting of Nelson Mandela.
We travelled back to Cape Town and ascended the Table Mountain where I took the following photos
That evening we all went for a fish dinner to Tango's restaurant

We visited the Mount Nelson Hotel where I took this picture of Fred in the hotel gardens.
We stopped in at the Waterfront where Fred bought some jewelery to take home as gifts. here we see Fred checking that the jewelery was all in good shape. J
After our journey to the Waterfront I took Fred and Billie to the airport where we sadly had to say goodbye to one another.
Fred and Billie were a fantastic couple top tour with. They had both been very well travelled and could bring much to the tour with their experienced insights and past adventures in other lands. They both made for a non stop fun tour and I was very very sorry to have to say goodbye to them at the Cape Town airport.

Just to make sure you get this I am using Reply. I wrote twice using the
address from your card. Just wanted to say thanks and tell you what a super
guy you are and what great fun we had.
Glad you heard from Fred. I haven't. I've been very busy trying to get
back to normal and cope with the upcoming Xmas. Had daughter here
today. Will be going to son's next Monday for Xmas.
I've already had my pictures developed and have gone through them trying to label while things are still fresh. I've lost or misplaced several weeks of
notes where I told about the pictures I took and that is a disadvantage.
Maybe they will magically turn up.
Today I relived Kayamandi as I showed the pictures to daughter. I will
never forget it. You are making such a difference there. I am glad they
have you.
I recommended you to my travel agent in case they ever have need. Till we
meet again--your cork buddy Billie
