Astrid phoned me on the morning of our tour asking me if I could tour 3 ladies to the Cape Peninsula. I had been recommended to her by Lanie van Reenen of Welgelegen Guesthouse. It just so happened that I had a tour cancelled on the day and all I can say is happilly so because these 3 ladies were such a pleasure to tour with. I collected Astrid and Hanne at their place of stay viz. The Table Bay Hotel and Johanne from her place of say viz. De Waterkant Guesthouse. We decided that seeing that time was against us we would travel to the Penguin colony in Simonstown and return to Cape Town as Astrid and Hanne had appointments to keep in the city at 17h00
Here we see the threesome of Johanne, Hanne and Astrid posing at Muizenberg.
In view are 3 very happy faces
after we got to the penguin colony.
Looking at Hanne's hair one can certainly see that the wind was blowing. J

We then had a 30 minute shopping opportunity in Simonstown, sampled biltong and dry sausage and had lunch in Simonstown at a local Cape Malay specialty takeout and then started making our way back to Cape Town.

A panoramic of the Slangkop
lighthouse to Noordhoek area with the threesome tucked away in the back corner.

This was such a wonderful short tour however the problem was that it was too short as the threesome were such easy and happy travellers to tour with. Hopefully one day they will return to wonderful Cape Town and we can then see the rest of what the city offers over a longer period of travel.
Truly a super day of touring.
THANKS LADIES FOR BEING SUCH WONDERFUL COMPANY
