I met up with Chris at the Cape Grace Hotel.  We worked out an itinerary for the day and decided it was best to do a Peninsula tour as the weather seemed to favour the ride.

We started off by traveling to Muizenberg, Kalk Bay and Simonstown. After a short stop at Jubilee Square in Simonstown we moved on to the penguin colony.

Chris seen here with the penguins of Foxy Beach in the background.

After visiting the penguin colony we travelled on to Cape Point and after ascending the Point we continued on our travels when the exciting event captured in the below picture happened

This picture has a fascinating story to tell. I had never seen zebra at Cape Pont before even though I knew that they did roam the reserve. As we were leaving the reserve we suddenly saw the three zebra that can be seen in the background of this photo that I took of Chris in a rather hasty fashion. Chris wanted a picture of these three zebras to show a friend. Look carefully in the background and you will see them well camouflaged as they are walking away from the camera.

After leaving Cape Point we travelled on past Scarborough, Kommetjie and Silvermine. Thereafter we moved on via Constantia to the Atlantic Seaboard starting off at Hout Bay, and then travelling to Llandudno, Camps Bay and eventually ending off where we started in Sea Point.

All in all this was a lovely day which both Chris and I enjoyed. The weather played ball and it all added to us getting a great visual treat of the Cape Peninsula.

Thanks for a great day Chris
