I met Sylvia at the Cape Grace Hotel and all she said to me was "show me the beautiful scenery in Cape Town".  What an easy task this was as Cape Town has tons to offer scenery wise and Sylvia was a really wonderful, easy going lady to want to show this too. We had two wonderful days together touring the Cape Peninsula an the Cape Winelands as the below pictures will show.

On our first day we did a tour of the Cape Peninsula

Here we see Sylvia admiring a King Protea in the Kirstenbosch Gardens

After Kirstenbosch we travelled on to the Cape Of Good Hope Nature Reserve. Sylvia could resist wanting to be photographed in between all the "everlasting" flowers.

This panoramic picture was taken at Cape Point.

Sylvia fulfilled a dream by arriving at the Cape Of Good Hope.

This was view that  Sylvia saw of the Kommetjie to Noordhoek area.

On our second day we did a tour of the winelands. We started off ion Cape Town and then moved on towards Franschhoek and Stellenbosch

We found some Hungarian tourists who were nice enough to take our photo in front of Table Mountain while we were on Signal Hill.

Sylvia admiring the scenery of Devils peak, Table Mountain and Lions Head from Signal Hill.

We went to the Mount Nelson Hotel and took this picture of Sylvia in the hotel gardens.

Sylvia admiring her wonderful piece of coral that she bought in the Mount Nelson Hotel gift shop.

We travelled on to Plattekloof and took in the scenery of the whole Cape Peninsula.

We stopped in at Cotage Fromage for lunch - Here Sylvia enjoys the afternoon sun at the cottage.

We travelled on to Plaisir de merle where we took in the magnificent scenery equivalent to the panoramic seen in the above picture..

Here we see Sylvia admiring the wonderful gardens of Plaisir de Merle with Sylvia

Sylvia was wonderful company to have while we travelled through the Cape Peninsula and the Cape Winelands. She was always keen to get to see more of our wonderful city and its surrounds and that made touring with her very special. All in all the tour was a fabulous event.

Dear Selwyn:

I've had you very much on my mind but ever since my return it has been a non stop activity. Just got back from Hamburg where we (Juanca, Nati and I) spent the weekend with 2 of my sisters. Our managing to get together was a  fantastic feat.

We ALL enjoyed your pictures. Thanks ever soooooo much. You really made my Cape Town experience an unforgettable one!

A big hug for you and Bette.
