I met Ellen at the Cape Town airport and took her to Olafs Guesthouse where she settled in. That evening I collected her from the guesthouse and we made our way to the Africa Cafe where we had a great African feast.

On a rather foggy morning we made our way out to the Winelands. We started off by going to the Afrikaans Taal Monument which was rather eerie experience\nce as we saw the monument come to fore out of the mist.
Ellen seen in front of the monument as it rears up in the background mist.

We travelled on to Plaisir de Merle where I took the pictures as seen below .
After our visit to Plaisir de Merle we traveled on to Cotage Fromage for a light lunch
Ellen caught unawares by the camera at Cotage Fromage JJ
We met Umzwaki and travelled on to Muratie where we participated in a winetasting
We travelled on to Kayamandi and visited the township where we took the pictures seen below.

After our visit to Kayamandi we travelled back to Cape Town where we saw an amazing Cape sunset.

After our sunset adventure we travelled to a local supermarket where Ellen bought a whole variety of spices and salts to take home.
After our supermarket visit we went to "The Sushi Master" for a sushi dinner to end off our tour.
Ellen was great company on tour and it was a pity that we only spent one day together. All in all our tour was a successful one whereby I felt that Ellen learnt a lot about our local way of life as well as saw lots of the beauty of the winelands. Very enjoyable day with lots of interesting activities.
A BIG THANKS from me Ellen.
