Howard and Rosie Garstka

London -  UK

I met this fabulous couple at the Cape Grace Hotel where they were staying. We had been in email contact for close onto 6 months and the Garstkas did all their Cape Town tour groundwork so well that at stages I wondered whether they really needed a guide. Both Howard and Rosie were very interested in all that happened around them and while we traveled, the to and fro discussion, just never stopped. All in all we had a great three days together and for me this tour was a wonderful experience to cherish.

Rosie and Howard enjoying the sun, fine weather and wonderful flowers outside the Rhodes cottage in Muizenberg.

We took this panoramic view of Simonstown just before we settled down for lunch at Bon Appetit restaurant.

On our day in the winelands we had a fabulous lunch at Cotage Fromage. Here Rosie and Howard relax in front of the country cottage.

In Khaya Mandi we met up with Armstrong Ntonyake. Here Rosie, Armstrong and Howard pose in front of a Kaya Mandi house where the children's teddy bears were hanging out to dry.

I took the above 2 photos of Rosie while we were on top of Table Mountain so as to enjoy a Cape sunset.

On our last day together we were joined by Bette and we went to Hermanus for the day. Here Bette, Rosie and Howard are seen enjoying lunch at the Harbour Rocks restaurant.

The Garstkas were a great couple to tour with. Rosie was always very lively and keen to want to do new things while Howard kept me rolling with laughter with his very clever sense of humour. We had some great adventures together to make up what certainly was a very memorable tour of Cape Town.

THANKS  A HUGE STACK HOWARD AND ROSIE.

Only Howard Garskta could write a humorous mail like this one.

Dear Selwyn

We have checked our photos etc on your website and decided it is safe to contact you!!!!

Thank you for giving us such a great time in Cape Town. Not a minute was wasted - not even on your "little detours" (now forever known to us as "doing a Selwyn"!!).
Your Ls squared (little lunches) were all faultless and, even though exhaustion was beginning to take hold, we were so glad that you pushed us onwards and upwards - and downwards! We were relieved that we saw the top of Table Mountain as it was really covered in cloud on our last night.

We got home safely (as did the giraffe, also known as Selwyn!) and Harvey has adopted him as a new playmate, much to Howard's delight as he is counting the minutes until his demise (Selwyn's, not Harvey's!)

We will keep in contact with you and especially with your website to make sure no one gets a better end of term report than ours!!

Love to you and Bette and the snippet of the whale we spotted!!

Howard and Rosie xx
