I met Stephen and Patricia at Rose House in Sea Point. After going through the history of South Africa while sitting in the car we travelled on to the Winelands area.

Our first stop was at Plattekloof where we took in the view of the greater Cape Town area. After this we travelled on to the Afrikaans Taal monument.

We then travelled to Stellenbosch and after meeting up with Umzwake Ntonyake we went on visit to the township of Kayamandi which was to be the main focus of our tour and where the following photos were taken.

Stephen, Patricia Umzwake and the kids of Kayamandi.

After our visit to Kayamandi we travelled into Stellenbosch where we first had a light lunch and then we did a drive tour of the town itself.

We then travelled on to the Rust en Vrede winefarm where we bought some wine and admired the scenery on the farm.

From Rust en Vrede we travelled back to Cape Town where we bade each other farewell.

Stephen and Patricia were very interesting people to travel with. Stephen's insights with particular reference to his historical knowledge made the tour a very enjoyable one for me to do. All in all a very interesting day was had by all.

Stephen and Patricia thank you for being such great company while we toured the Winelands.
