I met the wonderful Gabiati family at the Cape Grace hotel over breakfast and we decided on what to do on a winelands tour on the day.
We travelled to the Franschhoek area and visited the Plaisir de Merle winefarm where the below pictures were taken

After visiting Plaisir de Merle we travelled back to Cotage Fromage where we had a cheese lunch
Dante, Ernie, Ginny and Gianni at Cotage Fromage where one can see the French flag flying high as it was Bastille week in the Franschhoek area.
We travelled to Muratie winefarm
and partook in a winetasting.
Here we see Ginny having fun inn the winetasting room.
We then travelled to Kayamandi where we had the experience of seeing a black township.
The Gabiati family with union leader Umzwaki Ntonyake and creche owner Nozandile Bossie with her son Laduma.
Dante having fun in the township
We visited Jan Vivier in Kayamandi where he told the Gabiati's all about living in the black township as a white South African
After our visit to Kayamandi we did a short tour of the town of Stellenbosch and then returned to Cape Town.
The Gabiati's were a wonderful family to tour with. It was such a pity that we only had a day to spend with each other as I reckon we would have had a wonderful time together over a longer period. Cest la vie! Dante and Gianni were fabulous young touring companions and Dante must rate as one of the brightest youngsters that I have toured with. GREAT TOUR.
To all the
Gabiati's I can only say
THANKS A TON for being such wonderful company
