I met Steinar and Torill at De Waterkant Guesthouse and we set out on a Cape Winelands tour.

Our first stop was at the Afrikaans language monument where we went through the history of South Africa and then walked through the monument. In the top picture we see Steinar and Torill standing next to a king protea at the monument and in the below picture we see them in front of the monument.

We travelled onto Mooiberg farm stall where it seems as if the couple did not take kindly to our own South African chilli mampoer. JJ

We moved on to Rust en Vrede winefarm where we had a great winetasting and then enjoyed the scenery and cellars on the farm as the above and below pictures show.

After our visit to Rust en Vrede we moved on to Kayamandi

We visited Nozandile in her shack in Zone O - Kayamandi. In the picture we see Nozandile and Mzwake posing with Steinar and Torill

Having fun with the young choir called "sections of peace"

Jiving and having fun with Bana Ba Kgotso

We left Kayamandi and returned to Cape Town having had a wonderful day together in the Winelands.

It was fantastic to travel with a couple like Steinar and Torill who were so understanding of our situation in South Africa. They brought much of their own thoughts and ideas into the discussion which made their visit to the Winelands and Kayamandi such an interesting one for me. All told this was a great touring day for me and I hope it was as such for Steinar and Torill too.
