I met Roger and Debbie at the Cape Grace hotel and we set off on a Cape Peninsula Tour.

While stopping at the Rhodes Cottage we viewed the wonderful garden of Emily Dibbs. Jonathan and Richard were two very inquisitive observers of Rogers photography. JJ

We travelled through Kalk Bay, Fish Hoek and Simonstown before making our way to the penguin colony where the following two pictures were taken.

We stopped in at "The Statues" on our way back as can be seen form the above picture of Roger doing some hippo riding.

We made our way to Table Mountain so as to see a Cape Sunset as can be seen from the above photo of Debbie as well as the below photo of Roger and Debbie

On leaving the mountain I took this picture of Debbie with Cape Town all lit up in the background.

After our Table Mountain ascent we travelled to the Africa Cafe where we had a wonderful African feast.

Day 2

2 November 2003

Winelands tour

We started our winelands tour by travelling to Franschhoek

While in Franschhoek we saw a couple of gardens with some gorgeous King Proteas in them as can be seen form the below photos

After Debbie and Roger took a slow walk through the town of Franschhoek we stopped in at the Old Corkscrew antique shop

We then moved on to Stellenbosch and visited Muratie Wine Farm where the next 4 pictures were taken

We travelled on to Kayamandi where the next photos were taken

After our visit to Kayamandi we did a short tour of Stellenbosch and then returned back to Cape Town

Debbie and Roger were wonderful to travel with. They always showed a great interest as to what was going on around them and continuously wanted to know more about South Africa, Cape Town and all else around them. It was an absolute pleasure to tour with the Berlyn's on both our days together and it was quite hard to say goodbye to the both of them as they continued their South holiday.

Thank you Debbie and Roger
for being such a great couple to tour with

Hi Selwyn

Now that the dust has settled and we are back to work in full flow I thought
I would write to thank you for showing us Cape Town in all it's glory. We
had a wonderful holiday. The Birkenhead House hotel at Hermanus was fantastic, as was the Treetops Lodge at Tsala. The safari was excellent though in retrospect I would do that first in any future hols - the early mornings get to you after 3 days and you could definitely do with a rest afterwards before returning to work.

We saw the photos on your web site - thanks for that.  It was great
travelling with you and who knows we may come again in the future

Best wishes
