I met Jean Louis and Marie Agnes at the Commodore Hotel and we immediately set out on a Winelands tour
We started off our journey by ascending Table Mountain by cablecar. The above photo shows the Briards atop of Table Mountain

We travelled in to the winelands and when we stopped at Cotage Fromage we took this picture at Vrede en Lust winefarm
We travelled to Franschhoek and had a delightful lunch at Le Grange where I took the above photo

We travelled on to Kayamandi where we had a fascinating visit to the township. I unfortunately got so engrossed with the visit that I forgot to take some more photos.

We travelled back to Cape Town and went for an African Feast at the Africa cafe. In the picture we see the Briards with our waitress Filo who came from the Democratic Republic of Congo
On our second day together we went on a Cape Peninsula tour
We started our journey in the Kirstenbosch Gardens
On arrival in Kalk Bay we went for a fish and chips lunch to Kalkies
In the Kalk Bay harbour
It was windy at the penguin colony as can be seen from the above photo
We stopped by "the Statues" in Scarborough where the Briards bought two wonderful sculptures and had great fun as the below pictures show

On our way home to Cape Town we stopped at Kommetjie where we enjoyed a glass of champagne at sunset
WHAT AN ENJOYABLE TWO DAYS!
Jean Louis and Marie Agnes
were an absolute delight to take around Cape Town and its surrounds. They were
very easy going and brought lots to the table with their own ideas which made
for very interesting debate while travelling. All in all Jean Louis was a
fascinating traveller to tour with as he was so well versed in most that we
discussed making touring with him a joy on its own. Marie Agnes was the quieter
of the two Briards but make no error she quietly steered the rudder that kept
the Briard family boat on course because to keep Jean Louis's bubbling
enthusiasm for life under control must be quite a task for Marie Agnes. JJ
Touring was a fun event with this couple as they were out to enjoy themselves
while we were travelling. For me the tour was an exciting one as I felt
that while we were on tour the Briards were enjoying themselves immensely and
that to me was an ultimate experience on its own.
Thanks for being such great
visitors
