I met this wonderful group of family and friends at the Strand Pavilion and we set off on a cultural tour in the Cape Winelands and Kayamandi
Our first stop was at the Afrikaans language monument where the below pictures were taken

We travelled on to Kayamandi and paid a visit to the Isibane Sempomulelo creche.
After visiting the creche we joined Lily at her Kayamandi home for a wonderful African lunch
Enjoying Lily's food
Pam scoops out some Chakalaka for herself
Lily and her daughters, Tuli and Athi, entertaining us with their fine singing while Lilys grandkids, Lloyd and Zizo enjoy the singing too

The whole group with the kids at Ikamva
After our visit to the Ikamva centre we joined Onezwa and Pienkie in their homes in Zone J whereafter we travelled back to the Strand Pavilion.
This was an absolutely fabulous group to travel with. Everybody got on so well with each other and just went with the flow of their day on tour. We had a day that would not be forgotten too easily. We had such a blast with the kids in the Ikamva center that I am sure the kids in the centre will always remember this fabulous group of ladies who visited us. I could do this type of tour over and over as it was such a wonderful experience and I just hope that some of this group come back to visit us once again one day.

Hi Selwyn,
Thanks so much for a wonderful tour. Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely and was very impressed with your commitment to the people of Kayamandi. We've had a wonderful time in Cape Town and touring with you was definitely one of the biggest highlights of our trip. We've already contacted family/friends, giving them the link to see our pictures. Dianne & I just looked at them and they are wonderful. Once I get home I will send you some of the ones I took. We leave tomorrow evening, but will probably contact you sometime this evening. Claire has some questions for you. Once again, thanks for such a wonderful time. If we had contacted you earlier, I know we would have arranged to tour with you more that just one day. Much love and hamba kahle to you.
Denise
