DAY 2
CAPE WINELANDS
We started out our day by travelling to Franschhoek. On arrival in the town we spent quite a while travelling around and enjoying the homes and gardens of the village. Then we moved on to shopping....JJ
Shopping in Franschhoek
After our sojourn in Franschhoek we visited the Corkscrew antique shop and followed this up with a lovely lunch at Allee Bleue. We then moved on to Ernie Els winefarm outside of Stellenbosch

Going through a winetasting at Ernie Els
Sharon couldn't wait for the wine to be poured and simply got stuck into the barrel. JJ

After our visit to Ernie Els we spent some time at the Mooiberg farmstall whereafter we travelled into Stellenbosch and did a tour of the town.
Sharon and John were an absolute delight to tour with. They were happy to go with the flow and our tour worked out well because of this. Together we had a wonderful time exploring Cape Town and its surrounds and overall this was a very nice tour for me to do with two wonderful people.
THANKS A TON FOR 2 GREAT DAYS
SHARON and JOHN.

"There's no place like home", as the saying goes. Arrived at JFK yesterday morning around 6:30. That flight is horrible.
We had a great time touring with you and truly enjoyed your company! I felt especially close knowing that you had spent some time in Newport. We had "stuff" in common right off the bat. We were sad to leave Cape Town, it's such a beautiful place and our accommodations were fantastic. Next time, I would definitely spend more time in Cape Town. I would love to see it when all of the flowers are in bloom. Gorgeous, I'm sure. I'm sorry we did not get a chance to go to dinner together - you know so much of the cultures and are sooooooooo interesting. I can't say enough!
Got the pictures, thank you. And, I've seen the web site. John has not. He has been so sick. He is at the clinic as I write. I also got sick before we left -- which made the flight more unbearable. I may go to the doctor tomorrow depending on what John's diagnosis is today. I believe we both have strep throat and I have diagnosed John as having conjunctivitis. I can't wait to see if Dr. Sharon is correct.
Again, thank you so much for our most enjoyable time in Cape Town. And, thanks for accommodating my shopping needs.
Take care and be well!
Regards,
Sharon Gagne
