I met Faith, Andrew and Sam at the Mont Royale Hotel and we set off on a winelands / rugby tour. Andrew and Sam had come to South Africa with the Lions rugby tour and Faith joined them in Cape Town

We started our day with a vsist to Signal Hill so as to see the city views from 200 Metre above sea level

We travelled to Franshhoek and stopped in at the Old Corkscrew antique shop

We toured Franschhoek per car whereafter I dropped the trio at Dieu Donne where they enjoyed a good  lunch

Sam, Andrew and Faith enjoying looking through Beyers Truter's rugby memorobilia on Beyerskloof farm

We drove to Stellenbosch where we did a tour of the town before going to Coetzenberg sportsfields where everybody hasd the oipportunity to shake South Africa's Mr.Rugby viz Danie Craven's hand.

Danie says "Congratulations young man on being chosen to play for Wales". J

Danie Craven and the Woods Family

It was a wonderful privilege for me as a keen rugby fan to travel with the Woods family. Obviously rugby played a big role on the day and Faith showed wonderful  patience in allowing Andrew, Sam and I to let loose on rugby experiences and stories. We all had a most enjoyable day together on what turned out to be a perfect tour day. All in all this was a great experience for me to have the honour of taking this family around the winelands and to enjoy the rugby world.

Please come back in 12 years time with the next Lions tour  J
