I met Sheila and Steven at the Cape Codogan guesthouse on what turned out to be a very rainy and windy day which certainly was not conducive to touring. We decided not to go touring on the day and I helped them plan the day so as to do all the indoor experiences that Cape Town offered. In the evening I returned to Cape Codogan and we went off to the Africa Cafe for a fantastic African feast.

We visited Shumi Nlebe and she told us her life story while sitting around a paraffin stove

We ended off our journey with a visit to Zone J where we went to a church service , visited some folk in their shack homes and encountered the children in the above picture

The pictures of this tour do not lie as it is so obvious just by looking at their smiles that Sheila and Steven had a great day in the Winelands as well as in Kayamandi. I also enjoyed myself immensely while being in their enjoyable and intelligent company. Together we shared a lot during many discussions. All the experiences that we had on the day were very special indeed. From my point of view this was such a wonderful tour with two wonderful people that it really is going to be difficult to forget the impression that the Gudis's made on me in such a short period of time.

THANKS FOR A GREAT DAY

Received 17 August 2006

Dear Selwyn,

We arrived home safely and are already back into our regular routine, but
we can't stop thinking about our wonderfully amazing trip to Africa. The
amount of energy you have is astounding - with all that you do you still
find time to put us on the website, videos and all. We forwarded the
pictures and videos to our kids and some friends and they all had a good
laugh at our (especially my) ineptitude with African dancing. My kids
couldn't stop laughing. My daughter noticed that one of the children said
goodbye in the picture with the universal hand signal of love (last picture,
lower left corner.)

Selwyn - you are the best tour guide ever. You showed us Cape Town in a way
that we will never forget and we had so much fun seeing and learning with
you. You make it both interesting and enjoyable, but you do it in a way that
makes a huge emotional impact. We both came away from our time with you
exhilarated and excited. We would have loved more time but we are grateful
for the time that we had. We feel like we have bonded with you and want to
stay in touch.

Love, Steven and Sheila
