Apologies for the slight blur in some of the pictures as it seemed that I had a mark on my camera lens
I met Joy and Ann at Parker Cottage in Tamboerskloof. We first set off to the Cape Town station so as to purchase train tickets for their train ride a couple of days later between Port Elizabeth and Johannesburg and once we had competed this task we set off on a winelands/township experience.

Joy enjoying the vineyards of Muartie winefarm
We stopped in at Muratie winefarm where we enjoyed the wines of the farm as well as the 30 year old cobwebs
We moved on to Kayamandi where we joined Lily for a wonderful traditional Xhosa lunch
After lunch we moved on to the Ikamva Lethu Centre where Masakhane (lets build together) enetretained us)
Click here to watch a video
of Masakhane performing live for us at the Ikamva Lethu centre.

We visited Nosandile in her shack home and took the above "happy photo".
After visiting Zone J we returned to the Ikamva Lethu Centre where we were entertained by Bani Bagotso (Children of peace).
There could be no better way to end a journey in Kayamandi
than joining Bani Bagotso in song.

This was a great journey with two great ladies. I had a marvellous time with Anne and Joy and I suspect that they enjoyed their day too. We learnt a lot from one another as well as from all those whom we met on the day. I just wish that Anne and Joy could had stayed in Cape Town for one more day so that I could have shown them the wonderful visuals of Cape Town but alas time was our enemy in this regard.
Thanks
for a wonderful day
Joy and Anne
