I met Jesse and Dave at Cape Codogan and from the first minute that we were together I just knew that this tour would be a great success.

The weather was in our favour so we started our journey with an ascent of Table Mountain.

We travelled into the southern suburbs passing Muizenberg and then stopping in Kalk Bay

When we returned to Cape Town we joined Yoshi  (Japanese chef) for a fantastic sashimi dinner tasting all the local fish in Cape Town at Saigon restaurant.

Day 2

Winelands and Kayamandi

We started our day by travelling to Kayamandi where we visited the Isibane Sempomulelo creche

We travelled into Stellenbosch where over a cup of coffee at Cafe Jardine we went through the history of South Africa. After our coffee stop we did a short tour of the town of Stellenbosch before returning to Kayamandi.

After our visit to the Ikamva Centre we spent time walking around in the Zone J shack area before leaving Kayamandi and moving onto Franschhoek (Vreugde guesthouse)  where we very unfortunately had to end our great tour. 

What an amazing 2 day tour. Jesse and David were definitely go with the flow type visitors to Cape Town and in a very adventurous way and we enjoyed a fabulous experience while in cape Town and its surrounds. We experienced so much and learnt lots from each other. The Meshkovs had a great experience in Cape Town as far as I was concerned and I can but only hope they felt similarly.  All in all for me this was a great tour where I had an awesome time with a fantastic young New York couple.
