We travelled back to Cape Town and went to the Africa Cafe where we had a wonderful African feast to end our fabulous tour together.
Kristi and Jared were a fabulous couple to tour with. They were very easy going and wanted to learn as much as possible about my wonderful city and its peoples. Together we had much fun together leaving me, and hopefully them too, with a fabulous memory of a great tour.

Hi Selwyn:
Thank you for such kind words! The feeling is mutual. Jared and I still
feel so lucky to have had you share your gifts and time with us.
After 32 hours of travel, we arrived home yesterday. Our time spent with
Africa is something we will never forget. It just plain took my breath away.
After we left you at the Nellie, we spent the next day at the waterfront
shopping away for souvenirs. I got myself a djembe which was the purchase of the trip!
The Blue Train was great. There were only 16 people on board so it was very quiet. We stayed a night in Jo'burg but did not see much of the city.
Mala mala was fabulous! We stayed at the Kirkmans kamp which was a lot less formal than the main camp. We met a great Welsh couple who provided constant entertainment. Our ranger was great and we got to see more animals than we could have imagined. Having dinner under the stars...perfection!
Botswana was equally great. We were the only people at the first camp we stayed at so the service really couldn't have gotten better. We had elephants visit us in the middle of the night and were awoken by the sounds of hippos 'laughing'. The mekoro ride was a unique way to see the bush. The animals really 'cooperated' and we saw everything we had hoped to see.
There really aren't enough superlatives to describe our experience in Africa. Traveling with you made it all the more special! You must keep in touch! Promise that you will let us know when you are in our neck of the woods. You can let Jared and I 'tour' you around our city. :)
Thanks again for everything, Selwyn.
Kristi
P.S. Jared and I have some footballs we want to send to Kayamandi. Should we send them to you? If so, I need your address. :)
