I met Jim and Judy an Avanti Guest House and over breakfast we spoke about many things which included the history of South Africa. Thereafter we embarked on a Winelands tour
We travelled to the Afrikaans language Monument where I took the above picture of Judy and Jim with a king protea.
We travelled on to Franschhoek and stopped in at the Corkscrew Antique shop
After a short tour of Franschhoek we had a lovely light lunch at "Delicious"
We stopped in at the Kei Carpet factory on our way to Stellenbosch
On arrival in Stellenbosch we did a short tour of the town and then moved on to Kayamandi where the following photos were taken
Having fun with the kids enjoying the "Trash for fruit" project
In front of Nozandile's shack home with a young neighbour who wanted to join the photo

After our journey to Kayamandi we stopped in at The Fishmonger restaurant in Stellenbosch and then returned to Cape Town
On our second day together we visited the Cape Peninsula
Doing the Table Mountain shuffle on top of Table Mountain
I took this photo after we had enjoyed some whale watching at Fish Hoek
Having fun at the penguin colony at Boulders Beach
On our way to Cape Point we found a troop of baboon who did not seem to mind being photographed as the next pictures show
Yup we made it to Cape Point - Been there done that! JJ
Enjoying the sculptures at "The Statues" near Scarborough
On our way home we stopped at Kommetjie for sunset where I took the next 3 photos

A grand ending to a great sunset
After sunset we travelled to Cape Town where we went for dinner to the Africa Cafe. Unfortunately Jim developed some serious abdominal cramps before we even arrived at the cafe and midway through the meal we took him to the Medipark Clinic over the road from the Africa Cafe. Within about 90 minutes they had him totally sorted out at the clinic and I then took him and Judy back to Avanti where they continued their Cape Town adventure for one more day before they moved up to the northern parts of the country and Botswana so as to enjoy a safari.
Touring with Jim and Judy was an absolute pleasure. They were always great company and they both had a wonderful sense of positiveness about all that they did. Their enthusiasm on tour was contagious and on many an occasion while on tour they spurred me on to want to try some new ideas as we travelled With their wonderful attitude to traveling this was overall a most pleasurable and enjoyable touring couple for me to guide..
Jim and Judy thanks for the
wonderful experience of guiding you in my city.
THANK YOU FOR ALL
