What a wonderful 2 days this was. I had lots in common with Cathy and Patti and from the minute we met I knew that this tour was going to be a special one. As much as our day on the Peninsula was a big event our visit to Kayamandi was the overriding special event for us all. On occasions it was a very emotional journey but the love and warmth of the people of the township carried us through all. Overall Cathy and Patti went with the flow in all that we did and it seemed as if we clicked on all our ideas and thoughts. This in turn resulted in a marvelous two days of touring and a very difficult saying of goodbye to these 2 wonderful ladies
THANK YOU SO, SO MUCH
CATHY and PATTI
A BIG THANK YOU for your wonderful generosity and caring shown in Kayamandi particular with folk like Shumi and Nombandla (Soup lady)

Hi Selwyn
We are home safe and recovering from the shock of
re-entry meaning back to work for me tomorrow and Patti hearing mom, mom, mom the minute we touched down in Detroit!
Thank you for your warm comments...it was an incredible experience, and we are still digesting it all. I've forwarded some words about the Robben Island visit, and am working on Kayamandi. I can't believe the good fortune to stumble across you on the internet and share such a
thing....thank you thank you thank you. Patti and I have talked a lot about the needs there and she is looking into details for tax deductible status for Americans as that will be a big factor here.
More on that soon as well as some assorted ideas but not tonight I just wanted to thank you again for facilitating it all and for being the
wonderful and engaging person that you are. You are appreciated and admired.......:o)

Patti
