Day 3
City tour
Our day started in a negative way as my car's starter motor packed up and while I was having it repaired the Threesome moved on to Kirstenbosch Gardens so as to go on the trolley ride through the garden so as to see its wonderful botanical beauty
After the threesome returned to the guesthouse I made contact with them and we progressed onto the Bo-Kaap are where I took this picture of Anna, Trond and Gunnar.
We had an unfortunate experience at this spot as someone managed to enter our vehicle while we were talking the above pictures and stole Anna's handbag from the car. After searching for the bag extensively we simply gave up and continued touring. The following morning someone contacted us to tell us that they had picked up Anna's wallet and thankfully we managed to get this important part of Anna's bag back on the day. This was an unfortunate experience that marred our journey for about and hour and it was not long before we were all back into te swing of touring once again.
We visited the top of Table Mountain where we unfortunately had a cloud covering that spoilt our views. nevertheless we still had a good experience up in the clouds.
Coming down in the cableway with Anna sporting her newly purchased wonderful hat. JJJ
We ended our day buy having a great espetada dinner at the Spurs Restaurant in Sea Point
Travelling with this threesome was an amazing experience. With Trond being handicapped I was certainly made aware of how tough things could be in this regard however was very pleasantly surprised to see how well Cape Town caters for the handicapped folk of this world. Trond was an amazing person considering his situation and we shared many a story with great joy. Anna and Gunnar were also wonderful to tour with in that they were very understanding of all that Cape Town presented them and they certainly made great use of of all the opportunities that they had. The last day of our tour was filled with much drama as the unexpected continuously happened but we all took it in our stride and made the very best of a what turned out to be a great tour.
Thank you for sharing an amazing Cape Town experience with me Trond, Anna and Gunnar.
