I met Jim and Beth at the George airport on the 14th and after getting to know each other we made our way Knysna and Overmeer Guesthouse where we were about to stay for the next 3 nights. Jim and Beth were quite tired after their long ride to Africa so on arrival at Overmeer and after a short break we visited the lake Pleasant restaurant for an early dinner

We started our day by visiting the Knysna Heads where I took the above photo.
After our visit to the Knysna Heads we were joined by Ludwig and Riette, the owners of Overmeer guesthouse who would be accompanying us for the rest of our tour on the day.
Riette, Ludwig, Beth and Jim at the Belvedere Church
After our visit to the Belvedere Church we stopped in at Renay and Lionel Booth for tea, scones and delicious koeksisters. After our delightful tea with the Booths Renay took us on a walking tour of the Belvedere coastline and promenade.

After our visit to Belvedere we moved on to Botlierskop where Jim, Beth, Riette and Ludwig went on a quad bike safari. All was going well up to the point where Beth accidentally fell off her quad bike and hurt her arm as well as grazed her face. Beth showed amazing courage as we took her to the Mossel Bay Medical clinic to be attended to and within an hour she was right as rain and back on Botlierskop for a great dinner. After this event Beth showed her true grit as she did not let any pain get in her way of enjoying her tour

Dinner at the Africa Cafe.
After our visit to the Africa Cafe I took the Jim and Beth to the Royal Princess cruise liner on which they would be continuing their journey to Antarctica.
This was such a wonderful tour that it is hard to find words to describe it. It certainly was a relaxing journey through the Garden Route, Cape Winelands and Cape Town as we never pushed to see "more" and did all our touring very qualitatively. Jim and Beth were wonderful people and what fabulous travelers they turned out to be. Their company was most enjoyable and their sense of appreciation as to what Cape Town and South Africa could offer them was absolutely amazing. Our parting ways at the cruise liner was very hard for me but then thats the penalty that a tourguide who becomes a good friend of his visitors has to pay. L Come back Jim and Beth!
WHAT A FABULOUS TOUR
THANKS A TON JIM AND BETH!

We are still raving about our wonderful adventure with you and all of the accompanying
accommodations and venues. We've seen Denise, Jack and Inez often and today spent the afternoon oo-ing and aah-ing at Tristan da Cunha and the islands nearby on an absolutely perfect day.
My friends in the States have already responded to your pictures on the website- they are in awe of all of the beauty in S. Africa.
My scars and bruises have almost vanished; stitches are being removed tomorrow.
We can't thank you enough for the wonderful visit and we do have some ideas for gifts for Kayamandi. We will share them with you when we return to the States.
In the meantime, we wish you and Bette a very happy and blessed New Year! Have a lovely time with your friends at the Christmas dinner!
Thanks and love,
Jim and Beth
