This was a day tour I was really looking forward to as it would give me an opportunity to meet Paul and Marina once again as well as at long last meet Mavis too. I met the three of them and Janet at the quayside next to the Artemis and from the minute we met up we simply did not stop talking and having fun.

I just knew that this was gong to be a very, very special day.

We started our Peninsula tour with a stop in at the Kirstenbosch gardens

After our journey to Table Mountain we moved on to the Cattle Baron restaurant for a steak supper before we returned to the Artemis where we had to unfortunately in a very emotional manner say farewell to each other.

My biggest regret of this wonderful day was that I missed Pat and Terry Simmons as well as the late Patrick Hoon on our tour together. The presence of these people would have made up the last little bit to simply have made this a perfect day touring. It was so wonderful to be travelling with such genuine friends and there is no question about the fact that having to say goodbye at the quayside was one of the most difficult events I have ever been through in all of my touring career.

Paul, Marina, Mavis and Janet, thank you for all your wonderful gifts as well as handsome donation to the kids of Kayamandi. Rest assured it will all go to a great cause and will make many a young face in the township smile.

Paul, Marina, Mavis and Janet
all I can say is
A BIG BIG THANK YOU

FOR SUCH A GREAT DAY
