I met Ian and Lyndsey at Uitsig in the Constantia area . We became acquainted very quickly and immediately set off on a cultural tour of the Western Cape with the main part of our visit being a visit to the township of Kayamandi

Before travelling to Kayamandi we spent some time in Stellenbosch and then went for a light lunch to the Greengage Restaurant

After our experience at the Ikamva lethu Center we drove around Kayamandi looking at how the housing situation in the township was developing. We also stopped in at Zone J so as to hand out apples for trash before departing back to Uitsig in Constantia.
Ian and Lyndsey were a very easy couple to travel with. They simply went with the flow and took in all as we travelled. We had a wonderful experience in Kayamandi especially with Lily. All in all I think that Ian and Lyndsey got a pretty good idea as to what township life in South Africa really was about. We had a marvellous time together and it really was a bit of a tough experience for me to have to say goodbye to them when we parted ways at Uitsig.
THANKS FOR ALL
